Shopping guide for babies and toddlers

December 9, 2015

Here is a round-up of our favorite baby and toddler toys this year. I am very picky about toys and get rid of anything that feels like clutter or doesn’t get played with often. Here are the items that have earned a permanent place in our house.

Baby Einstein Alpha Books are no longer in print (sadly!) but you can still find them on Amazon…

Minnie Mouse Book Set – it’s like books and blocks combined…

This toddler game is my new go-to gift for every 2nd birthday party we attend…

A classic walker toy – Zianne still uses it and Talitha will too before I know it…

Lunch basket because Zianne is all about play food these days…

Can’t go wrong with a doctor’s medical set…

A swing for the backyard…

The most beloved baby music toy…

And some favorite books: Wacky Wednesday // Pete the Cat // Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother too? // Lift the Flap Bible // Chicka Chicka Boom Boom // If You Give a Dog a Donut

About Jen Russum

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.

THE FINE PRINT — Hi! I want to let you know that my blog sometimes contains affiliate links. In other words, if you click on a link or purchase an item from a link, I may make a small commission at no additional cost to you. I only link to items I love from companies I trust. I’m so grateful for your support — thank you.
