Here to help a sista out…

June 7, 2012

Okay, so I know there are like a million and one handmade shops out there. Etsy, Storenvy, Big Cartlel. Ruffled clutches, necklaces, headbands, art prints. The list goes on and on. Sometimes there is so much cute stuff out there that I start feeling overwhelmed and don’t want to look at any of it.

Except that I want some handmade goodness in my life. I want to wear jewelry that wasn’t already purchased by everyone and their mother at Target last week. I want to add whimsical touches to my home that aren’t from the TJ Maxx clearance aisle {my hot spot, let’s be honest}.

Today I am here to help you out…

I might not know which biz makes the best headbands, but today I am going to point you in the right direction for a couple of really fun items.

First up, if you want to add a unique-yet-classy bracelet or two {or three} to your collection, I have the perfect shop for you…

Neon & Nude
This shop just opened up this past Monday, and my girl, Jenna, is already selling out of bracelets left and right. And for good reason. Look at these babies…

It’s okay. You can be obsessed. I am too. I am going to try to scoop up this one for myself!
And Jenna is just about the cutest, sweetest girl you will ever meet!
Here’s a word from Jenna…
My inspiration for my jewelry comes from everything I see. Art, fashion, and sometimes even women I see at the mall. I LOVE bright colors and anything that pops. I want my jewelry to be statement pieces that you’ll have forever and ever. There is nothing like a good bracelet or a beautiful necklace to brighten up a ho-hum outfit. Cause let’s just face it..a plain white shirt is just lonely without a pop of color from some jewelry!
And this week she is offering AZ Russums readers 15% off any order in her shop!
Just enter “RUSSUM ROCKS” at checkout!
Also, visit Jenna all over the web. You won’t regret it!

Next up I have another darling gal… my friend, Anne!
I am obsessed with this girl AND her product.
If you need a way to organize the bracelets or necklaces you order from Jenna above, Anne can help a girl sort out her jewelry in style. Her shop, Sweet Sadie K, just opened this week as well!
Look at these amazingly stylish jewelry racks! I have one and I love it. And it holds ALL my necklaces…. at least 30 of them, maybe more. Mine hangs in my closet right now, but I love that these racks are so cute that you can hang them right out in the open in your room and bathroom, and they work as an art piece.
Stylish organization is always a win.
Here’s a word from Anne:
I’ve always loved repurposing old things… It started with awkward room decorations. One time I entered the room decorating competition in 4H. I think my product included sponge paint…I didn’t win. My mom has always been a dumpster-diver and usually brings home old pieces of wood (shutters, headboards, frames, etc). At some point we started collecting random knobs and would gift our little creations to friends. Our hobby grew into a huge stash and after a year of helping my mom’s Etsy business, I decided to open my own. Its named after the cutest little baby, Sadie K!

Anne is offering 10% off any order in her shop with the discount code
“SWEETSADIE“
Go shop til you drop ladies! You won’t be disappointed. XOXO!

Okay, first of all, the neon and nude jewelry is adorable. And such a stylish combo these days. Second, my husband is from Arizona, and I have definitely picked up his love for desert adventures. Third, your entire blog is so well-put-together and well-written that I just want to read on and on.

So, obviously, I'm your newest follower 🙂 I'd love to see you around my blog too!

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.
