Lovely Little Things.

June 11, 2012

Hello fruit. You’ve been my favorite lunch food lately.
Hello, Lisa. This precious little baby I always take pictures of does have a mom. And it’s not me… 🙂
Hello hot chocolate. In Phoenix. In June. Sometimes you just have to.
Hello Hudson. Good job taking sermon notes.
Hello brother-in-law getting married in less than two months! I can’t wait for a new sister!
Hello handmade Mexican popsicle. A wonderful $2 summer treat.

Hello sweet kids. Babysitting you was so much fun.

Hello triple decker Ritz and Reece’s s’more. You didn’t last long.
Hello fun package from Bits of Splendor. I love my new necklace.
Hello new verse for the husband’s sink.
Hello #shereadstruth journaling. You’ve been so refreshing for my heart.
Goodbye guacamole. I really should learn some restraint when it comes to your avocado-y goodness.

That little girl is so so cute (I know she already has a mom, and I know it's not you, but I volunteer to be her new mom. She's so precious!)

Okay, this is starting to sound creepy… never mind. But seriously, it does look like you're having an awesome time, and you can't go wrong with Reese's s'mores!

BAHAHA your comment about the guacamole reminds me of ME. I had lunch today at Qdoba (similar to Chipolte) and one of the chefs was preparing a GIANT bowl of guac. I said, "I want THAT for lunch!" and he gave me a dish to taste. Of course, it was delicious! I cannot say no to guacamole. I have no self-control when it comes to avocado-y goodness. Love your term, I'm going to borrow it!

Great blog here, I'm so glad to be a new follower.

Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂

Every time I see a picture of a S'More I want one even more than the previous time- they're simply not the 'done thing' here in Australia so I've never had one! I really must try before the end of winter…

I loved your collection of pictures 🙂

CUTE kiddos!! Oh that smores w/ ritz looks SO good! Just had one w/ graham crackers and it was ok, but w/ the salty ritz would be YUMMY!
Can't resist guac either 🙂 heading over to splendor shop, I'm an accesoires addict!
    Stopping by from instafriday!

Stopping over from the Hello Hue link up!
S'mores with Ritz? Genius, especially since I ran out of graham crackers since becoming addicted to Nutella s'mores.
And I may have polished off a bowl full of guac myself last night, after telling the kids 'No, you won't like this stuff, see doesn't it look gross?' I'm not proud.

Aww love all your "little things"! I am so stealing the verse idea for husband's sink. We are trying to do a family verse each month. Would be cool to frame it each month!

Guacamole! Yum! I just had that on my free Subway sandwich courtesy of the boss lady in honor of a coworkers' birthday. Just realized I should have added that to my post! Free lunch on someone else's birthday = awesome. 🙂

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.
