Calling all Sprouts shoppers!

March 17, 2015

A couple years ago I sent out a plea on the blog asking readers to share their favorite items from Trader Joe’s. I would shop at TJ’s from time to time but never knew what to buy besides their amazing $5 sparkling wine. What awesome items was I missing out on? My readers came to the rescue and gave me awesome suggestions, so I was able to put together a master list of the best items to buy at Trader Joe’s.

Now I want to do the same thing for Sprouts. I have a TJ’s about a mile southeast of my house and I have a Sprouts about a mile to the northeast. Depending on my route and errands for the day, I might find myself near either store. Now that I have Trader Joe’s on lock-down, I want to make sure I’m not missing out on any gems from Sprouts. So now it’s your turn to help again… What are your favorite items to buy at Sprouts? Looking for healthy-ish snacks for Zianne and me, lunch and dinner ideas, fun beverages or desserts! I’m hoping to compile another great list, so leave your suggestions in the comments or respond on Twitter or Facebook!

Will you disown or unfriend me if I've never been in a Sprouts? I've only been in Trader Joe's twice, mainly because it's located in west Fort Worth.

Soba noodles. We use them for so many things and they are so cheap there! I will make a special trip to Sprouts just for that. Produce is a no brainer because it's so inexpensive even for organic. And I also buy all of my essential oils at Sprouts. Oh and the bulk is great too- good snack stuff- dried fruit, trail mix.

Sprouts is my absolute favorite for their bulk section! Oats, almonds, dried cranberries, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and chocolate covered pretzels. We also love their chicken sausage in the meat department, so fresh!

All their produce, so cheap (and honestly better quality than Trader Joe's)! We get our protein powder there, all of our bulk foods, they have great sales like BOGO on Sprouts brands, and 25% off vitamins/supplements. Amazing purple corn tortillas, and their Sprouts brand breads are also very good. I find that the wines are cheaper and better at Trader Joe's, as well as most of the packaged products such as nut butters, coconut oils, cheese, etc. Sprouts is our regular grocery, and we get specialty items at Trader Joe's 1-2 times a month. Hope this helps!

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.
