At Home with Talitha

May 31, 2016

I have so many pictures from Zianne playing around the house when she was a baby. She was my only child and my main responsibility so the camera was on her almost every single day.

I wouldn’t say I’ve entirely failed to get pictures of Talitha. I’ve still taken her growth pictures every month and I snap photos of both girls together quite frequently… if I can get them to sit still and not inflict injuries on each other for longer than three seconds.

But day-in-the-life photos with just Talitha? Without big sis around to lock her in a choke hold? On mom’s “fancy” camera? I don’t have many of those. So the other day, Talitha and I were playing on the floor during sissy’s nap, and I decided to grab out my real camera and snap a few pics of this mobile almost-one-year-old girl of mine.

She really is the sweetest.

Such a little cutie!!! I rely on my phone way too much for pictures of my kids. Hardly ever get out the fancy camera.

I used to be so much better about it, but with two it’s so hard to remember.

Red heads are so fun! 🙂

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.
