Adverbs

February 2, 2012

I never use a top sheet.

I rarely mop the floor.
I sometimes convince Micah to do the vacuuming.
I usually make the bed.
I always clean the bathroom – every single week.
I never feel caught up on school work.
I rarely have time to read all my favorite blogs.
I sometimes feel sleep-deprived.
I usually put housework before homework.
I’m always thankful to be in grad school, even when it’s difficult.
I’m never on time to church but am trying to change.
I rarely skip reading my Bible in the morning.
I sometimes struggle to have a focused prayer life.
I usually pay attention during sermons and take lots of notes.
I’m always in need of God’s grace.

Mopping floors is the worst…or is vacuuming worse? Tough call…..

I always feel sleep-deprived. You think that would make me go to sleep earlier…but no. Not this owl 🙂

I struggle to have a focused prayer life too. Good thing we always have God's grace 🙂

Ha! Can you come clean my bathroom! I'd much rather mop or vacuum. I like vacuuming actually. I feel so behind on blogs all the time too! There are just so many amazing ones on my list!

want to know something gross? I've only swiffered our house once…and we've lived there a year. I don't even want to know what it would be like if I did it again. It's hard sometimes for me to want to keep our house super tidy because we don't own it lol. I know I am terrible!

I love this post!! I actually love to vacuum! I miss being able to take notes during sermons. We don't have a nursery at our church so I'm always wrestling my baby boy. I really need to try to start doing that again. Thanks so much for being you, I always enjoy what you write.

Hi. I’m Jen Russum and this blog is where I’ve been sharing narratives of God’s grace for more than a decade now. Some might say “blogs are dead” but I’m waiting for them to come back around like mom jeans and 90s flannel. I enjoy my coffee iced, my summers hot, and my dinner parties long with lots of laughter. I process all of life’s deepest, darkest, and happiest moments by writing essays in my head. When I have the time, some of these essays get typed up and shared here. I’ve always loved to write, and I hope my words bring you joy and encouragement.
